If you’re an advanced surfer chasing the best waves, you should set your eyes on the monsoon season, from March to the start of September, with great waves and an abundance of swells.
For beginners to relatively experienced surfers as well as those that want to maximize their trip experience, the best time to visit is right at that sweet spot where the monsoon season is about to meet the drier season if the island halfway, which makes November, December, and mid to late January the most popular and sought after time to visit by most surfers.
The ideal wind is from the north east and swell from the south south west.Swell size ranges from knee high to very occasionally overhead.
